LAHORE – The Lahore High Court (LHC) chief justice (CJ) on Monday sought a reply from the Punjab government within two weeks on a petition seeking action against doctors for observing strikes by endangering the life of patients. Journalist Manzoor Qadir filed the petition submitting that the doctors were violating their code of professional conduct by observing strikes. He said that the strikes were causing a lot of problems to citizens who were being denied their fundamental right of medical treatment. Qadir requested the court to direct the Punjab government to take action against the doctors and order them to call off the strike.
