MINGAWARA – Four militants were killed during bloody encounter with security forces in the border area of Dir and Swat districts, official sources informed on Sunday.
The clash occurred when militants, who were entering from Dir district to Swat, refused to stop for search and started firing at security forces at the border area. As result of shootout, four militants were killed. The security forces claimed recovering automatic weapons and rounds from the possession of militants.
After the clash, the security forces started search operation in the area. Two of those killed were identified as Aman-i-Room son of Rustam from Gogdara and Karim Ullah son of Hazrat Ali of Odegram. Identity of the remaining two could not determine.
Meanwhile, security forces succeeded in netting out of a notorious terrorist and his son from Khawazakhela area. Hussain Ahmad and his son Khair Ul Abrar are active members of Taliban tehrik and were involved in heinous criminal acts like killing of people, blowing up schools and other infrastructures with explosive materials and extending help in suicide attacks.
They were shifted to an unknown place for further investigations.
