SAHIWAL – The district administration will launch an anti-encroachment campaign to clean and beautify Sahiwal city, said Punjab Zakat and Usher Minister Malik Nadeem Kamran and DCO Waqas Ali Mehmood. Talking to media people in the DCO office, they said that in the first phase, encroachments would be removed from all commercial markets. They announced that no political pressure would be tolerated during this campaign.
Answering a question, the rovincial minister said the Punjab govt was spending Rs 500 million on the development and beautification of of Sahiwal, adding the goal could not be achieved without removing encroachments from commercial and residential areas. To a question, the DCO told the media that all stakeholders would be taken on board during the campaign. He also sought the help of journalists in this regard.
