Zehri has most land, Lot richest amongst senators

ISLAMABAD – Senator Mir Israrullah Zehri turned out to be the biggest landlord among senators, owning 51,555 acres of agricultural land in seven districts of Balochistan, according to the details his assets declared to the Election Commission of Pakistan for the year 2010.
Senator Gul Muhammad Lot appeared to be the richest amongst the senators with a total moveable and immovable property worth Rs 2,824,435,300.
Senator Ammar Ahmed Khan has net assets worth Rs 1152,988,294. Azam Khan Swati owns 19 residential plots and four houses, has assets worth US $6,210,000 in the US, owns furniture worth Rs 395,000, jewellery worth $275,000 and owns four vehicles worth Rs 10.8 million.
Senator Talha Mahmood has Rs 21,023,702 in cash, owns furniture worth Rs 2.7 million, owns 15 residential plots in his name worth over Rs 43,731,300 besides investments in two companies worth Rs 21,851,420. Senator Abdul Nabi Bangash has business in Dubai worth 17 million UAE dirhams, owns a Range Rover worth 4.5 million UAE Dirham.
Interior Minister Rehman Malik has property in London worth £2.5 million and owns a BMW car worth £27,000. Senator Gulshan Saeed owns two houses worth Rs 50 million and agriculture land worth Rs 10 million. She also owns assets remitted from outside Pakistan worth £20 million pounds, has jewellery weighing 1,100 tolas worth Rs 44 million.
Another senator from Balochistan Nawabzada Haji Mir Lashkari Raisani owns seven hundred goats, 60 camels and 12 donkeys worth over Rs 9 million besides other property. JUI-F Senator Maulana Gul Naseeb appears to be the poorest amongst the senators as he owns no immovable and immovable property and owns just five tola jewellery and has liabilities in his name worth Rs 1.2 million.
Senator Maulana Abdul Ghaffor Haidiri of the JUI-F has immovable property worth Rs 0.5 million beside furniture worth Rs 150,000. Senator Ahmed Ali owns a Mercedes car worth Rs 4.2 millon and a Honda car worth Rs 0.7 million.
Senators Chuadhry Shujaat Hussain, Haroon Akhtar Khan, Abdul Haseeb Khan, M Gufran, Islamuddin Sheikh, Khatumal Jewan, Abdul Khalid Pirzada and Senate Chairman Farooq Naik are among the senators who have no vehicles registered in their name.
