A deal is a deal but what does one do when a dealer gets a little greedy and decides to rock the boat. We hear that some time back the boss of Evacuee Property Board came up with a brilliant idea on how to make a fortune. He discovered that a chunk of land belonging to the Board was to be acquired by DHA Lahore. Promptly but discreetly, he arranged an auction of this real estate and a small time real estate dealer with whom he had an understanding, quite conveniently picked up the property for a song.

Some time later, DHA gave that dealer four residential and four commercial plots in Phase Six DHA in lieu of the land the society had acquired. Suddenly, our respected dealer saw a fortune staring him in the face and, not surprisingly, he became reluctant to part with it in exchange for the small compensation he had been promised.

However, the Boss of the Board had a formula that worked. He gave one residential plot to the daughter of a saintly VVIP and revised the compensation for our very lucky dealer. The dealer did get a better share if not as big a one as he had dreamt of. The VVIPs daughter sold her plot immediately and pocketed the money. As for the boss, he made his fortune and got to keep his job.

We hear that NS may be tired of having the Park Lane flat ownership thrown at him the minute any of his party men bring up the matter of AZs Surrey Palace and chateau in France. That would explain why NS watchers claim that last week while visiting London he seemed interested in a property on Duke Street in central Londons Mayfair area. In fact this is a house not a flat and is accessorised with a swimming pool. However, as most Londoners know, Duke Street is only a stone throw away from Park Lane and both are located in Mayfair, an area where one can rub shoulders with British aristocracy. Now that may be a good investment but it is hardly an address that will make critics go away.

Bilawal may have graduated from Oxford University and may be now enrolled as a law student, but his real education lies somewhere else. We hear that a tutor well-versed in Urdu prose and poetry has now been assigned to him by his guardians. After all, it is the kings speech that can make or break a king.
