LAHORE – The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday rejected the bail petition of Naveed Sultan who has been accused of his mother’s murder over a property issue.
Sultan through his counsel pleaded that he had not killed his mother but the police had forced him to confess to the crime that he never committed. The counsel further pleaded that the police had no direct evidence against Sultan but they bent upon getting him punished.
A state lawyer, present in the court, said that after the incident Sultan went to a police station and surrendered, confessing that he had killed his mother following a property dispute, the lawyer added.
