Fawad’s century puts Sindh on top

LAHORE – Fawad Alam, with a fine century, and Khalid Latif, displaying equally brilliant batting brought Sindh to a winning position against Federal Areas on day two of the fifth round match of the Pentangular Cup 2010-2011, here at the Gaddafi Stadium on Thursday.
Sindh made 359 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their second innings by the close of play, while Federal Areas team gathered 240 runs after Sindh made 202 runs in their first innings. Meanwhile at LCCA, Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa took a first-inning lead against Punjab. Batting first, Punjab scored 254 runs. KP responded with 419 runs and by the end of play, Punjab were at eight without loss.
