CDA warns unauthorised occupants

ISLAMABAD – Wanting the land evacuated in 7 days, Capital Development Authority (CDA) warned all unauthorized occupants and encroachers on state land, especially the slum dwellers (Kachi Abadis) in sector I-11. A press release warned of an operation that will be carried out irrespective of the loss incurred by the occupants. CDA has launched an operation in light of the direction of Supreme Court of Pakistan to get its occupied land released from its illegal occupants. The Islamabad City Administration and the police are cooperating with the Authority to get the possession of the land from illegal occupants.
The Chairman CDA Imtiaz Inayat Elahi directed the enforcement teams to get CDA land vacated from the adverse possession in the light of the decision of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. He has also directed that the operation should be across the board and no concession be given to anyone in this regard. He said that CDA is setting up pickets in the area after the getting the possession of land. He said that Islamabad City Administration and Police are fully cooperating with CDA as are the locals of the area for getting the CDA land back from the illegal occupants. He called upon the illegal occupants to amicably vacate the CDA land.
The chairman CDA said that CDA is implementing a comprehensive strategy in collaboration with the ICT Administration and police to get the acquired land vacated from the illegal occupants.
