LAHORE – Lahore District Coordination Officer DCO Ahad Cheema inspected the machinery and the task force that will take part in the anti-encroachment campaign that starts today at 8:00 am. After the inspection, the machinery and forces were sent to their respective towns where they will start wiping out encroachments. The DCO made it clear to all officers that no injustice shall be done with anyone and in case of any resistance, all the lawbreakers shall be prosecuted lawfully and that the operation will be executed without any discrimination.
The DCO has prioritized illegal parking and extension as number one. He said that moveable roadside food stalls are allowed to move around the city but cannot stand at one place. He said that CDGL officials will be deployed at the points where the operation is completed to make sure that the illegal extension may not occur again. The DCO added that for monitoring purposes, a control room has been established that will mark down citizens’ complaints against encroachers.
