LAHORE – Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) Punjab President Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi had called a provincial parliamentary party meeting on Friday to show off the party’s strength in the assembly, party sources told Pakistan Today on Wednesday. The sources said that the meeting was not only aimed at sending a message to opponents about the fate of the dissident Unification Bloc, but also to devise a strategy for the upcoming provincial assembly session. The sources said that the meeting would also decide on formally leaving the portfolio of Opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly after the expulsion of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) from the coalition government in the province.
