KASUR – Kasur District Coordination Officer (DCO) Malik Jahanzaib Awan held a meeting to review the prices of consumer goods in the district. The DCO said that hoarding and price hike were serious problems faced by the masses. He directed the authorities concerned to chalk out a comprehensive plan for providing maximum relief to the masses. He warned shopkeepers to sell their products at the fixed price otherwise a strict action would be taken against them. He appealed to the people to point out such shopkeepers who were selling their goods at higher prices and ordered an action against the hoarders.
MAN KIDNAPPED: A man was abducted from Rukan Pura in the jurisdiction of Saddar Police Station. Rehmat Ali reported to the police that his son Sajjad Ali went to the market to buy some goods but did not come back to home. The police were investigating the case.
SHOPKEEPER DEPRIVED OF CASH, VALUABLES: Robbers deprived a shopkeeper of cash, mobile phones and cycle spare parts at village Kadi Wind in the jurisdiction of Kot Radha Kishan Police Station. Reportedly, 15 dacoits barged into the shop of Ali and took away Rs 40,000, three mobile phones and cycle spare parts.
