KARACHI – The City District Government Karachi (CDGK)’s two-day public awareness campaign on road safety will start today (Wednesday). According to a notification issued by the CDGK’s Transport and Communication Department (TCD) on Tuesday, the campaign is being held at problematic spots in the city for raising awareness on traffic and road safety. The campaign would be launched at PECHS College main bus stop on Wednesday 10 am, while on Thursday it would be launched at the same time on Khalid Bin Waleed Road near the Noorani Kabab House.
All staff members of the TCD District Office (road safety education) will participate in the campaign. The CDGK has already held road safety campaigns at Jail Road, NIPA flyover, Gulshan Chowrangi flyover, Five Star intersection, Karimabad intersection, Aisha Manzil intersection, Board Office intersection, Guru Mandir intersection, Urdu Science University, Askari Park near Old Sabzi Mandi, CSD stop near Gora Qabristan, Korangi Road, Kalapul near Tooba Masjid, Mai Kolachi Road, Karachi Port Trust and Mauripur Road.
