PESHAWAR – Erin Mark DeHaven, the US national who had been arrested two weeks ago over his outstaying the Pakistani visa, was released on bail Tuesday, Central Jail Peshawar officials said. After his release from Central Jail Peshawar DeHaven boarded a police mobile pick-up van and was shifted to University Road Peshawar where the wife of the US national, Rehana, was lodging. A local court on Monday had accepted plea of Ms Rehana and ordered her husband’s release on bail but and he was freed the next day. The police officials said DeHaven had converted to Islam and was living with his Muslim spouse. His wife namely is working for International Red Cross Committee (ICRC). AFP adds that the judge also ordered DeHaven not to leave the area without informing police until his case is concluded.
