LAHORE – It was after 16 years that Tasawar Khanum, a renowned singer, sung live in a concert organised by the National Council of Arts at Aiwan-e-Iqbal on Tuesday. Many famous artists from the music and the film industry were present on the occasion. Among them were Rafaqat Ali, Tauqeer Nasir, Javed Hassan and Shauqat Ali’s son. Performers danced, while Khanum mesmerised the audience with some of her internationally acclaimed songs. A large number of people, who had been waiting long for Khanum’s concert, filled in the hall and swayed as Khanum sang “Sab to sohneya”, “Tu meri zindagi hai” and some of her famous ghazals. to the music industry.
