LAHORE – The Anti-Motorcycle Lifting Squad, Iqbal Town Division, on Tuesday claimed to have arrested five motorcycle lifters from Shahid alias Doctor and Tasawar Abbas alias Tasawari gangs, including their ringleaders, and seized 25 motorcycles worth Rs 1.35 million, two pistols and some bullets from their possession. The arrested men were identified as Muhammad Shahid alias Doctor, Muhammad Faisal, Muhammad Sarfraz, Tasawar alias Tasawari and Faizan.
They have confessed to 25 cases of motorcycle lifting and snatching during preliminary interrogations. The areas in which these criminals had committed crime include Sattokatla, Garden Town, Factory Area, Sanda, Shadman, Mughalpura, Green Town, Civil Lines, Liaqatabad, Shadbagh, Gulberg, Chung and Icchra. Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Muhammad Aslam Tareen has announced cash prizes and commendatory certificates for the police team.
