SIALKOT – Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said women could play a vital role in the development process by following the golden principles of Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah. While addressing a girls’ school’s inaugural ceremony, she said female education was imperative for the development of Pakistan and to bring it at par with developed nations. She said the majority of population needed to be educated for accelerating the developmental process in the society. Women empowerment was essential to steer the country out of financial crisis, she further said, adding that female education was the need of the hour. She said the current government would complete its constitutional term and overcome all challenges with the public support.
She added those criticising Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and propagating that the party would cease to exist in Punjab would soon realise its strength as Sialkot’s every house would soon echo with the slogans of Jiay Bhutto.
