LAHORE – Punjab defeated Balochistan by 82 runs on the fourth and final day of the fourth round match of the Faysal Bank Pentangular Cup (First Class) 2010-2011, here at the Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday. Punjab resumed their innings at 215 for four to declare at 303 for nine. Later, they dismissed Balochistan for 300 runs in their second innings to win the match.
Scores: Punjab 235 in 68.3 overs (Taufiq Umar 106*, Usman Salahuddin 53, Abdul Rauf 3-62, Rizwan Haider 3-63, Zulfiqar Baber 3-33) and 303-9 decl. in 59.1 overs (Imran Farhat 128, Taufiq Umar 42, Adnan Akmal 30, Zulfiqar Baber 4-76) v Baluchistan 126 in 39 overs (Zain Abbas 71*, 112 Gulraiz Sadaf 13, Muhammad Khalil 8-38) and 330 in 100.4 overs (Shoaib Khan 84, Saeed Anwar 59, Imranullah 56, Sarmad Anwar 4-70, Mohammad Khalil 3-86), Result: Punjab won by 82 runs.
