LAHORE – Aisamul Haq Qureshi led Pakistan to a 3-1 win over Hong Kong when he beat his counterpart in the reverse singles match at Victoria Park, Hong Kong on Sunday. Aisam, who lost the opening singles match of the Asia Oceania Davis Cup Group II tie on the first day, bounced back to win the doubles match while pairing with Aqeel Khan and on Sunday defeated Martin Sayer in three sets (8)7-6, 6-3, 7(4)-6. After the opening match loss, it was Aqeel who brought Pakistan on level terms with Hong Kong by beating Sayer in his singles match and later when Aqeel joined Aisam in the doubles, both the Pakistan stars sailed to win, providing Pakistan a 2-1 lead. As the final day approached, Asiam moved past Sayer with ease when everyone was expecting a tough fight.
