LAHORE – Three suspects were arrested in Shahdara for plotting terrorist activities in the provincial metropolis, official sources told Pakistan Today. One of the suspects was identified as Abubakar, a resident of Lahore, while the others were identified as Sher Dil and Saad Khan, residents of North Waziristan.
According to the sources all three had been under surveillance for a week. Sources claimed that the suspects were arrested in Shahdara by a special team late on Friday night and were moved to an undisclosed location for investigation. The sources revealed that maps and pictures of sensitive places of Lahore were also seized from them.
However, City Division Superintendent Police Ijaz Dogar denied arresting any suspected terrorists or launching an operation in that regard.
