LAHORE – Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that Federal Minister for Interior Affairs Rehman Malik issued visas to agents of (US security agency) BlackWater and he (Malik) was responsible for their activities in Pakistan.
He was talking to reporters after a meeting of the Unification Bloc members with Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif at the CM secretariat on Saturday. Sanaullah said that Malik played the main role in facilitating the ‘infiltrators.’ He criticised the federal minister for issuing a provoking statement that Punjab was a safe haven for extremists who had been carrying terrorist activities across Pakistan.
He said that the federal minister had started issuing discriminatory statements to just deface Punjab. He said Malik was still clinging on to the Interior Ministry after several incidents of terrorism. The provincial law minister said that the PML-Q’s majority party had announced the support for the PML-N and members of the Unification Bloc would vote for the Punjab chief minister in case he faced a non-confidence motion.
