LAHORE – Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif presided over a meeting on Sunday to review low-cost housing scheme Aashiyana’s progress. Member Provincial Assembly and Punjab Land Development Company Chairman Sheikh Allaoud Din and officers concerned attended the meeting.
The CM said Aashiyana was a revolutionary project that would provide low-income people with their own homes. He said that all basic amenities would be available in the scheme. He said the Aashiyana housing scheme had been launched from Lahore and a site close to the city had been selected for this purpose. He said under the Punjab government policy The project would be completed in a transparent manner where houses would be allotted by ballot. Allaud Din said the Aashiyana welfare project for low-income people was being implemented expeditiously.
