RAWLPINDI – The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) hearing Benazir Bhutto murder case on Saturday gave Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) 15 more days to deliver arrest warrant to former president Pervez Musharraf at his London residence. The court, during two previous hearings, had issued arrest warrant of the former president after his name was included in the charge-sheet.
FIA officials took the plea before ATC Judge Rana Nisar that the warrants could not be served on former president at his Islamabad farmhouse residence as he was not present there. The court directed them to deliver the warrant to the former president at his London residence through the ministry of foreign affairs.
The court was informed that the ministry had not yet responded to FIA request to help deliver the warrant. Former city police officer (CPO) Rawalpindi Saud Aziz, SP Khurram Shehzad and others allegedly involved in Benazir murder case, were also present on the occasion. The court adjourned hearing of the case till March 19.
