PPI man among four killed

KARACHI – Four people were killed and five injured in different incidents in the city on Friday. A man was killed and another injured in firing in Malir within the limits of the Alfalah police station. Police said that two groups traded fire on the issue of putting up a banner of a school in Kehkashan Society. They opened fire in which Ahsan and a passerby Hassan suffered bullet injuries. Ahsan died on the spot and the injured was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. The victim was an activist of Punjabi Pakhtun Ittehad (PPI).
Separately, unidentified people fired multiple shots at Allah Dinno near Bakra Chowk in Baloch Goth area of Orangi Town killing him on the spot. In another incident, a man was killed when a vehicle ran over him as he was crossing a road in Old Golimar. The body of 25-year-old Malik was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for legal formalities.
In a separate incident, a man was killed in a road mishap in Old Golimar area. The accident occurred near Lasbella Chowk when a rickshaw overturned, killing Khan on the spot.
The body was shifted to the Civil Hospital Karachi for legal formalities.
A man was injured in Landhi in the wee hours of Friday. Landhi police said that unidentified men opened fire at Saeed Alam, 30 in 36-G area of Landhi Town. He was rushed to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for treatment.
Three men were injured in a clash between two groups in Gulistan-e-Jauhar. Two groups clashed in Pehlwan Goth area after their children had a fight during a cricket match.
During the clash, Mazhar, Yaqoob and Fida suffered minor injuries. They were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
