LCCI will hold debate on economic challenges

LAHORE – The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) will hold a dialogue regarding challenges on economic growth for Pakistan on Saturday (today) at its premises.
Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Dr Nadeemul Haq, LCCI President Shahzad Ali Malik, Senior Vice President Sheikh Mohammad Arshad, Mr Saqib Sherani, Dr Aslam, former Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) Chairman Tariq Hameed, Almas Haider and other top-notch business leaders are among the keynote speakers.
The business community would share its views economy’s growth and difficulties faced by the industry, while Dr Nadeemul Haq would share the government’s perspective and policies, being implemented to enable economy grow at a much faster pace. It is expected that business leaders and champions of industry would attend this dialogue to develop an understanding and roadmap for industry.
The decision to initiate a series of economic dialogues has been taken to give an update to the policy makers so that appropriate measures for putting economy on track can be initiated. The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) has since long been calling for a sector specific strategy to deal with issues being faced by the economy.
