KARACHI – Following the directives of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, the officials of City District Government Karachi (CDGK) Anti-Encroachment Department on Friday razed two more illegal structures built on the city’s parks. An anti-encroachment team, headed by District Officer Abdul Malik and Mansoor Ahmed Khan, demolished a football club office in Nishtar Park and a building in union council No 11 of Jamshed Town.
Though some sportsmen resisted the football club office’s demolition, the operation was carried out peacefully for the most part. This special operation, which was initiated on Wednesday, would continue until the removal of all illegal structures from 164 parks of the city.
