ISLAMABAD The Board of Investment (BoI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with South Korean firm STX for collaboration in infrastructure and energy sectors. A statement issued by BoI said that both the parties would exchange information on investment policies and projects, in addition to conducting investment seminars in both countries.
BoI Chairman Saleem H Mandviwala said, on the occasion, that an MoU was recently signed with the Korea Southern Power Company Limited (KOSPO), to set up a 2.0GW wind power project in Sindh. He informed that recently a South Korean group, Lotte purchased Pure Terepthalic Acid (PTA) plant of ICI Pakistan for $400 million and is planning to further invest $500 million in doubling existing production capacity of the plant.
