Lahore – Salahudin Ahmed Khan Niazi an officer from the Police Service of Pakistan in BS-21, who was an officer on special duty (OSD), was appointed as Chief Minister’s Inspection Team (CMIT) Chairman on Friday, according to a notification issued in this regard. The post of the chairman was previously held by General (r) Ziauddin Butt and fell vacant after the Punjab government removed several retired officers in compliance with the Supreme Court’s orders.
