Volume declines at LSE

LAHORE – The Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) remained bullish on Wednesday, while the volume dwindled. The LSE 25-shares added 35.73 points to close at 3,534.22 against its opening at 3,498.49 levels. Out of total 102 active scrips, 31 went up, 28 went down and 43 closed without any change in their opening values. Volume of the market remained 4.74 million shares, which was 3.34 million shares less than Tuesday’s turnover of 8.08 million shares.
Lotte Pakistan PTA, with a turnover of 0.99 million shares, was the volume leader and it added Rs 0.13 to close at Rs 15.69 against its opening at Rs 15.56. NIB Bank, with a turnover of 0.86 million shares, was the second volume leader and it lost Rs 0.32 to close at Rs 2.27 against its opening at Rs 2.59. Pakistan Oil Fields (POL) was the major gainer as it added Rs 12.30 to close at Rs 317.94 against its opening at Rs 305.64. Dawood Hercules Chemicals was the major loser as it declined Rs 5.0 to close at Rs 252 against its opening at Rs 257.
