ISLAMABAD – Despite parting ways with the PML-N in Punjab, the government has decided to continue pursuing the 10-point agenda independently and has asked Finance Minister Hafeez Shaikh to brief the cabinet on the issue, a source told Pakistan Today on Tuesday. The PPP could not ignore the 10-point agenda since it constituted part of its own manifesto, so the leadership of the party had decided to continue pursuing the agenda with or without the PML-N’s support.
Issues such as inflation and the mechanism of determining petroleum prices, restructuring of the public sector, transparent accountability across the board and loans that were written-off would be pursued with the ultimate objective of improving the economy of the country and eliminating the misuse of public funds, the source added.
