Religious parties rally against Davis’ release

SAHIWAL – The religious parties took out a protest rally against the possible release of Remand Davis. The rally started from Jamia Uloom-e-Sharia and ended at Sadar Chowk, passing through the main bazaar. The participants of the rally were holding banners inscribed with a slogan ‘Remand Davis should be hanged’. They said the government was adopting a weak policy on the issue, but people would not allow the government to release the killer of the innocent Pakistanis.
STUDENT DIES IN ROAD ACCIDENT: A student died in a road accident near the bypass at Multan Road. Reportedly, the accident occurred near the bypass at Multan Road where a speedy bus hit a student of 12th class when he was crossing the road. As a result, he Was seriously injured. On receiving information, Rescue 1122 reached the spot and took the injured to the DHQ hospital where he died.
CAR, BIKE, RICKSHAW TAKEN AWAY: Robbers took away a car, a motorcycle, a motorcycle-rickshaw and tyres in separate incidents and escaped. In the first incident which happened near Friends Cinema, Shahbaz, along with his accomplice, stopped a motorcyclist, Rauf, at gunpoint, snatched his motorcycle from him and escaped. In the second incident, some an unknown robber took away Burhan Ahmed’s car worth Rs 10 lakh in Farid Town and escaped.
In the third incident, a bandit took away tyres worth Rs one million from the shop of Muhammad Anwar and escaped. In the fourth incident in Chak No 85-6R, an unknown thief stole a motorcycle-rickshaw of Akbar Ali and escaped.
