Qureshi says he will remain with the PPP

MIRPURKHAS – Former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said on Monday that he is a small Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) activist and will remain with the party. He was addressing party workers in Sanghar and Mirpurkhas. Qureshi said that he is visiting Sindh to reaffirm his loyalty to former PM and PPP founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and former chairperson Benazir Bhutto by visiting their mausoleum. The Ghausia Jamaat leader said that he has come to meet his followers in Sindh and has no political objectives in the province.
The former foreign minister was accompanied by over 600 vehicles and party workers showered rose petals on him and chanted slogans in his favour. He thanked Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) chief Pir Pagara for his comments and said that he would visit Karachi and meet Pagara, as he was his elder. Due to a large number of people, which had gathered to welcome him, Qureshi could not speak at various places. After reaching the Sindhri Chowk, the former foreign minister prayed with a huge gathering.
