‘PPP always strives for better Pak-India ties’

KARACHI – The PPP government has always promoted positive steps to maintain peace in South Asia and done its best to normalise relations between Pakistan and India, Sindh government’s Media Coordinator Taj Haider said on Monday.
“The Simla Accord is evident of the political intellect of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto,” he added.
He said this while talking to a delegation of Pakistan Peace Coalition (PPC) Sindh chapter which included Sharafat Ali, BM Kuti, Amtul Hassan, Latif Mughal and Manzoor Badayoni. The PPC delegation informed the media coordinator that in March, a delegation of Indian intellectuals and artists would arrive in Pakistan to promote peace between the two countries.
Welcoming the arrival of intellectuals from India, Haider said that arrangements would be made to make the delegation feel at home, adding that both the nations want peace and should realise it.
He said the exchange of delegations should continue as it would help understand the emotions of each other and develop respect that would result in promoting a peaceful environment. “War is not the solution to problems that could be resolved through dialogue,” he added.
