PAL conference releases books

Lahore – The Punjab Chapter of the Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL) has published two books comprising the papers read by eminent scholars at two different seminars. Present Global Colonial situation and the poetry of Faiz The first book comprises of the conference papers read on Faiz’s centenary seminar in Lahore on 11th Feb, published by the University Of Gujrat.
The book “Present Global Colonial situation and the poetry of Faiz” contains articles by IA Rehman, Syed Shabbir Hussain Shah, Dr Nizamuddin, Dr Mohammad Arif, Fateh Mohammad Malik, Dr Saadat Saeed, Dr Sughra Sadaf, Dr Zia-ul-Hasan, Hassan Jaffar Zaidi and Dr Ali Madeeh Hashmi. The book also contains the presidential address delivered at the seminar by Punjab governor Latif Khosa along with a preface by Altaf Ahmad Qureshi. University of Gujrat Deputy Registrar Sheikh Abdur Rashid is supervising the publication of the book.
Popular Basis of Sufism: PAL Punjab chapter has also published a book comprising of the papers read on Sufism at the Punjab Conference held in Lahore in May 2010.
Resident Director Altaf Qureshi has compiled the book “Popular Basis of Sufism” containing articles by Sardar Asif Ahmad Ali, Ghulam Farid Kathia, Fakhar Zaman, Dr Nizamuddin, Nabela Kiyani, Khalid Masood, Kazi Javed, Dr Muzammal Bhatti, Dr Mohammad Amin, Hameeda Shaheen, Dr Saadat Saeed, Syed Shabbir Hussain Shah, Nasrullah Khan Nasir, Dr Mohsin Maghiana and Farrukh Sohail Goendi.
