Two shot over money dispute

LAHORE – At least two people received bullet injures over monetary issue on Monday in Civil Lines police precincts. The injured were identified as Waris and Qasim. Police said the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) parking lot contractor Waris had a dispute with Ishaq over the parking lot contract.
On the day of the incident, Waris was standing at his parking stand when two armed motorcyclist approached him, one of them allegedly Ishaq opened haphazard fire due to which Waris received three bullets. Qasim who had came there to submit admission form fee also received bullets. The shooters fled from the scene and the injured were shifted to Ganga Ram hospital.
Doctors said the patients’s condition was out of danger. Waris’s brother lodged an FIR against Ishaq Waris. Electrified: Azam Sharif (24), Green Town resident, received electric shocks on Monday in Green town police precincts. Rescue 1122 officials said Azam had accidentally touched a live socket wire at his house near Victoria College. He got burnt and was moved to Jinnah Hospital in critical condition.
Licensing facilities: The CTO Syed Mobin on Monday announced one window operation to facilitate the masses in getting their licenses renewed or duplicated. He said that the previously launched driving licenses’ awareness campaign was over.
He added that citizens bearing learner’s license should paste ‘L’ at the front and rear wind screens of their vehicles to avoid any inconvenience. He added that citizens could visit learner permit booths and licensing offices daily from 8 am to 4 pm.
