QUETTA – A Swiss national was detained for traveling by road without proper documents in Loralai on Sunday. Levy officials told Pakistan Today that a Swiss citizen identified as Merco, who entered Pakistan from Iran via the Taftan border, was traveling by road on the main Loralai-Dera Ghazi Khan Road. Levies personnel took the foreigner into custody for not having valid permission from the Balochistan Home Department.
Afterwards, he was shifted to Quetta and is being interrogated by police and intelligence officials. Balochistan Home and Tribal Affairs Secretary Akbar Durrani said that the Swiss national was traveling in interior Balochistan without special government permission. He said that Merco would be sent to Punjab through an alternative route under proper security for his own protection.
