HAFIZABAD – At least six people were deprived of Rs 128,000 on Sukheki-Sangla Hill Road as the area had been turned into a haven for looters. Reportedly, landlord Shoukat Ali, a resident of village Mochiwala, was coming from Sangla Hill to Sukheki on his car.
When he reached near Rattian Railway Station, five unknown armed dacoits stopped him at gunpoint and snatched thousands of rupees and a mobile phone.
The dacoits also looted thousands of rupees and mobile phones from Shahid, Nasar, Javaid, Majeed and Khaliq when they reached the dacoits’ post one by one.
When the victims approached the Marrah Blochan Police Post in charge, he advised them to search dacoits themselves otherwise bear the loss patiently.
The residents of Sukehki and Marrah Blochan had demanded a many times to set up a police post at the boundary of District Hafizabad and Distinct Nankana Sahib but no positive response had been given by the authorities concerned.
The victims protested against the increasing incidents of robbery on this road and appealed to the Punjab chief minister to take notice of the worst situation. JAMAAT AHL-E-SUNNAT LEADER ESCAPES MURDER ATTEMPT: Jamaat Ahl-e-Sunnat leader Maulana Qari Ghulam Mustafa Sultani escaped from a murder attempt when some unknown people opened fire on his car.
Reportedly, Qari Ghulam Mustafa Sultani was coming from Qila Kalar Wala on his car after addressing a Melad-e-Mustafa conference. When he reached near a village Narowal, six unidentified armed people tried to stop his car but the driver did not stop, upon which, the armed people opened fire on the car.
As a result, windscreen and other glasses of the car broke but the rider remained safe and reached Hafizabad. ‘US agents try to target Pakistan’s n-programme’: Pakistan Jamaat Al-Dawa Ameer Professor Hafiz Muhammad Saeed has said that American spy agents were trying to target the nuclear programme of Pakistan. He added that if Raymond Davis was interrogated thoroughly, he would disclose many secrets about the American involvement in different terrorist activities in Pakistan.
He said many plots of terrorism and sabotage had been failed due to the arrest of American agent Raymond Davis. He further said the anti-Islamic forces had been united against Muslims whereas Muslim rulers were not representing Islam in a proper way.
