KARACHI – Since its establishment, some 8,661 students have graduated from the Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) in different disciplines of Computer, Biomedicine, Electronics, Civil Engineering and Computer Science, the university said in a press statement.
A survey conducted on the directives of SSUET Chancellor ZA Nizami states that 6,648 SSUET graduates have been able to enter gainful employment to date. The survey shows that some 1,032 graduates have established their own businesses and 951 proceeded abroad for higher studies, whereas some 12,400 obtained internships.
It is pertinent to mention here that the SSUET has entered into an agreement with the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry to promote university-industry relationship and help guide the SSUET to produce engineers to work in various fields as per market demand.
The SSUET has registered some 3,895 potential employers under the collaboration programme to help SSUET graduates obtain relevant jobs.
Some of the potential employers have already taken an initiative and held tests and interviews of SSUET students for employing them in their respective organisations.
