LAHORE – The federal government has made Punjab Additional Chief Secretary Sami Saeed chairman of the National Tariff Commission, however, Saeed has not complied with the orders of the authority yet, Pakistan Today learnt on Monday. The Establishment Division notified the transfer on February 25.
A senior government officer, seeking anonymity, said, “The federal government is the lending authority in this case and now the government has called its officer back and the Punjab government cannot retain the officer without permission from the competent authority. However, according to the rules, the officer still has seven days after the notification to join.”
