Man killed by robbers in Shahdara

Lahore – A man was allegedly killed by unidentified robbers for putting up resistance in the Shahdara Police Station precincts on Monday. The deceased was identified as Muhammad Anwar, 45, and a resident of the Wasim Town, Kot Abdul Malik. According to police, around three armed men entered Anwar’s house and took his family members hostage at gunpoint and demanded them to hand over all valuables.
Anwar resisted with the robbers on which the criminals shot him and fled with Rs 1 million in cash. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Anwar’s body was shifted to the morgue for autopsy. Police registered a case against unidentified men and have started investigation.
