KARACHI – Unidentified men opened fire on a police vehicle in Gulshan-e-Iqbal on Saturday night, killing two policemen. Mobina Town SHO said that head constable Zahir Shah and police constable Maqsood Ahmed were patrolling Quaid-e-Azam Colony in a mobile unit when two men on a motorcycle opened fire at them.
Shah suffered four bullet wounds in his upper torso and died on the spot, whereas Ahmed, who had also suffered multiple bullet wounds, succumbed to his injuries at the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where both the policemen were shifted to, the SHO added. A heavy contingent of law enforcers reached the area following the attack and started a search operation to arrest the attackers.
