LAHORE – Palestine coach Moussa Bezaz announced a 21-strong squad for the bilateral series between the two countries. Palestine’s 16 players arrived Saturday while others will arrive on Sunday (today). Pakistan Football Federation Secretary Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi, Director Marketing Sardar Naveed Haider, Liaison Officer of Palestine team Irfan Khan Niazi, PFF Director Administration Jahangir Khan Lodhi, and Manager Administration Muhammad Khalil welcomed the team at Lahore Airport.
Palestine will be play the first match at Lahore’s Punjab Stadium on March 1, followed by second match on March 4 at Karachi’s Peoples Sports Complex. Pakistan will reciprocate by visiting Palestine during April to appear in the third and fourth ties of the first ever series between the two nations.
Palestine trained in Amman before setting off for Pakistan. After the two matches in Pakistan, PFA will hold a training camp in Kuwait to prepare for the 4th AFC Challenge Cup Qualifiers from March 5-18.
TRAINING WASHED OUT: Palestine football team’s eleven players and five officials could not practice here Saturday as heavy rain lashed their training session at Model Town Academy Ground. Meanwhile, Pakistan trained at Johar Town’s UMT Football Academy.
