LAHORE – The City Traffic Police have constituted five special squads on Emergency Police 15’s pattern to curb wheelies across the city. Capital City Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) SSP Syed Ahmed Mobin directed the divisional superintendents to supervise these squads and ensure implementation of
fresh directives.
In an official communique issued on Saturday, the CTO also directed the senior traffic wardens to completely swipe the practice by launching a crackdown against the wheelers. According to the plan, two emergency squads will be deployed on the Ring Road while one squad each will be deployed on The Mall, Jail Road and Main Boulevard.
Mobin appreciated cooperation extended by the citizens with the Traffic Police and he further appealed the motorists to inform about wheeling and racing on City Traffic Police Helpline (0421915) for a timely action
