KASUR – Additional District and Sessions Judge Jawad-ul-Hassan awarded death sentence, life imprisonment and Rs 400,000 fine to three double-murder accused. Muhammad Din, Jamil Ahmed and Mushtaq killled Sadiq and Munir in the Ganda Singh police area two years ago over an old enmity. The convicts will have to undergo eight months imprisonment if they fail to pay the fine.
HOUSE ROBBED OF CASH, VALUABLES: Robbers looted cash and gold ornaments from a house at Khara Road in the jurisdiction of A-Division Police Station. Reportedly, three armed robbers forced an entry into the house of Abdus Sattar Gunahgar and took his family hostage. They searched the house and collected 25 tolas gold ornaments and Rs 50,000. A member of the victim family said the robbers were hungry and they did not leave even some apples in the house.
