Salient features of the project included three-lane dual carriageway, widening of service roads to six meters, including hard shoulders for parking, landscaping and installation of street lights and traffic signals.
LDA’s governing body also directed the concerned officials for carrying out repair works of Model Town Link Road, which was generally choked owing to parking issues because a lot of commercial activity was taking place, attracting vehicular traffic.
The meeting also decided for taking up the matter of shifting of electric transformers from green belts with LESCO. The meeting also endorsed constitution of a committee by the senior members/members from Board of Revenue Punjab for assessment of the cost of land and compensation of structure.
