LAHORE – A baby’s body was found in the Civil Lines Police Station precincts on Saturday. According to details, the body was disposed of in a shopping bag near the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Waris Road on which local residents informed police, which after reaching the spot called the Edhi Foundation officials who buried the body. According to Edhi Foundation officials, the baby had recently died. Separately, a man was crushed by a speeding car in the North Cantt Police Station precincts.
The deceased was identified as Muhammad Sajid, 45, who worked as a security guard and was a resident of Gujrat. Sajid was crossing the road when a rashly-driven car coming from the opposite side hit him resulting in his instant death while the car driver managed to flee. Police registered a case against the unidentified car driver on Sajid’s brother Rashid’s request and have started investigation.
