PPP to show power in Sialkot tomorrow

SIALKOT – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has planned to show its power in the district as senior PPP leaders, the AJK president, the Gilgit-Baltistan chief minister and Makhdoom Amin Fahim, will address public meetings here.
Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) President Raja Zulqarnain, Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Syed Mehdi Shah and Federal Industries Minister Makhdoom Amin Fahim will jointly inaugurate several socio-economic development and public welfare-oriented projects worth Rs 200 million in several Bajwat villages tomorrow (Sunday).
They have been invited by Federal Information Minister Dr Firdaus Ashiq Awan who comes from Sialkot. Firdaus, besides, inaugurating the Sui gas supply to eight villages of Constituency NA-111-Bajwat and laying the foundation-stone of Govt Girls Degree College at village Koobay Chak, construction of several link roads and establishment of women vocational training institutes there.
All the arrangements have been completed for this event. Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) workers have planned to show its power in the district. Welcome banners and hoardings are also being displayed along the roads by the local PPP workers. These leaders would be brought to Bajwat in a big procession from Wazirabad and Sambrial.
Cadet College opens admissions for first session: Admissions have been started for the first session of eighth class in newly established Sialkot Cadet College near Pasrur here. The college has been set up by the government on 158 acres of land by spending Rs 330 million. The classes are expected to be started here in April 2011. PML-N MNA Zahid Hamid stated this while talking to newsmen on Friday.
He said the provincial government had provided the land for this cadet college while its building had been constructed with the grant of the federal government. BANKING MOHTASIB TO VISIT SCCI ON 28TH: Banking Mohtasib Masrur-ur-Rehman Khan will visit Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) on February 28 (Monday). He will discuss in details the matters of mutual interest with the local business community and bankers at a special joint meeting. He will also visit some leading industrial units to witness the world standard craftsmanship of local artisans.
