NH&MP arrests 16 criminals

Lahore – The National Highways & Motorway Police (NHMP) N-5 Central on Friday claimed to have arrested 16 criminals involved in various crimes and recovered 270 stolen cotton bales worth more than Rs 18 million, large quantities of liquor, weapons, a Honda CD-70 motorcycle, cattle and other valuables from their possession.
According to details, NH&MP arrested Zulfiqar, Nadir, Ejaz, Zafar Iqbal, Shahid, Imran, Sikandar, Qammar Abbas, Kashif, Naseem, Shahzad Khan, Ghazanfer, Sarwar, Asif, Shahzad, and Waqas Khan. The NH&MP, on directions of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) N-5 Central Syed Ibne Hussain, handed over the recovered items and arrested criminals to local police for further action.
The NH&MP also reunited two lost children including Asghar, 4, and Ruqiya, 3, with their families and returned lost luggage of various passengers. NH&MP Inspector General (IG) Dr Wasim Kausar appreciated the efforts of patrolling officers and awarded commendation certificates and cash rewards to them.
