LAHORE – All major doctors’ associations have announced holding awareness walk today regarding a special salary package for doctors, office bearers of doctors’ associations said on Friday.
All major doctors’ association including Pakistan Medical Association (PMA), Young Doctors Association (YDA), Pakistan Dental Association (PDA) and Punjab Rural Doctors Association (PRDA) will start the awareness walk from Mayo Hospital to The Mall.
The walk is a part of the first phase of national movement for special salary package and will be carried out in different hospitals and cities.
The doctors said they will continue performing duties and will not call a strike initially. The next walk, they said, will be held on Monday in Multan. However, they said if the government does not meet their demands, strike will be their last resort.
