Lahore – The third Pakistan Children’s Film Festival will be launched on Saturday. Participants from 26 countries will participate in this five day long festival where 83 films will be screened. The festival has been organized by Little Art in collaboration with EyeBee. Little Art is a youth-led organization that engages children and youngsters in innovative artistic avenues.
The organization believes in promoting ideals of democracy, equality, civil rights, community, prosperity, higher education, religious and cultural tolerance while sustaining cultural heritage.
The festival director Shoaib Iqbal said his team will present some of the world’s best children films, based on an experience of creating innovative art education opportunities for children and young people. “After the success of the last festival in 2008, we were facing a challenge to present a program that matches our audience’s expectations; we are thrilled with the result. We have selected best out of around 400 film entries from all over the world, which are equally educational and entertaining”, he said.
The festival passes are available at Gloria Jean’s (Hussain Chowk, Gulberg and D.H.A); schools will be reserved in groups. The movies will be screened simultaneously at two different venues. Morning and evening shows will be screened at Ali Auditorium, whereas PAF Cinema, Lahore Cantt will screen only morning shows.
