LAHORE – The rainy season is all set to continue, as the Met Office on Tuesday predicted more isolated rains from today (Wednesday) in various parts of the country. According to the Met Office, isolated rain with snowfall on hilltops is expected at various places of Islamabad, Gujranwala, Sargodha, North East Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan and AJK while the situation would also continue on Thursday and Friday.
Met Office officials claimed that there is no chance of heavy rains during the week. Weather remained dry in most parts of the country on Tuesday but remained cloudy in upper parts of the country. The maximum and minimum temperature recorded in Lahore on Tuesday was 22 and 9 degrees Celsius respectively. Citizens expressed pleasure on advent of spring and said that they are enjoying watching the cricket World Cup. Weather experts have termed the recent wave of rains and snowfall as extremely beneficial for Rabi crops, fruit trees and water reservoirs.
